Final Fantasy VII released digitally on the Nintendo Switch back on March 25, 2019 in the US. VIII remastered just recently released digitally on September 3, 2019.
It seems like its risky to buy digital games if you prefer physical on the Nintendo Switch, because now we have confirmation there will be an English language version of these games released together in one pack physically sometime this year!
According to the Square Enix Asia official Facebook page the games are coming together in a twin pack for Asian regions sometime this year! This pack includes both Japanese and English language options. The Facebook post can be seen here.
No specific release date or pricing has been announced, but I am pretty sure for those of us who'd love to get these games physically on the Switch Play-Asia will be listing the game for pre-order soon!
